Holy Toledo!

So it's been a little while since this was updated...and tonight won't be much of an update. BUT... we did finally close on a house that we're giving a little TLC to before we move in. I'm so excited!! But photos are unfortunately not available. We did however have photos taken of all the girls and a new family photo which I will hopefully get on here before we have another one done in a year. It feels like that, anyway. Long story short...we purchased house, Makenna had tubes put in her ears, no one is sick(for now), Kris is going to Douglas, WY to work...I'll be all alone (tear and sniff) and the bills are still comin in. And I took Emma to KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION today!!! I cannot believe it! I had a little meltdown in the car and while we were there, but managed to keep it together for a minute. It's going to be a sad, sad day when the first day of school comes. I'll keep ya'll posted on my emotional breakdown.

TWILIGHT!!!!

So as many of you know, I'm a huge Twilight fan. It's pretty silly, really. Kris thinks I'm worse than all the teenagers, but I don't care....oh Edward! I was so excited for the video to come out, so I wore my Twilight shirt and made a Twilight cake in celebration. I have a keychain as well and wanted to get a bracelet that said "I love boys who sparkle", but I think Kris drew the line there. (Those guys just don't understand, do they?) Also...the soundtrack is awesome. I listen to it quite often and have put some of the songs on my blog music. Oh well. But here's a photo of the excited me and my cake. I've already watched the movie here at home at least a dozen times, and am ready to start reading the books all over again. By the way fans...New Moon comes out in Theatres this fall. Hooray!!

Getting Big

Makenna is changing so much! She's already 5 months old, and getting bigger everyday. I can't believe how fast them time goes. She's rolling lots, and has a really sassy personality already. But I have to say I saw that coming from the very beginning. She sure does love to smile...when she's getting her own way...and is always laughing. She's still a little night owl, so I hope that aspect changes soon!

My New Tutu!

My best friend Shannon made these incredible tutus for all of my girls, and they just love them! Emma wears hers ALL the time. I'll post the photos of the other girls when I can get them to hold still. I had her make these so I can get pictures of the girls done, and they turned out so wonderful. Thanks Shannon!!

Tea Party

Emma invited her Daddy to a tea party. We spent the afternoon making cookies and special treats for it, then she got all dressed up. She had so much fun, and I'm pretty sure Kris did too!

What have I done??

Well...Jenny Phillips holds a workshop/competition in the summer. And I signed up for it! I'm really scared, but I guess there's no turning back now. We'll see how it goes. You attend workshops on singing and writing music, then record a demo with her and Tyler Castleton. Then they choose a top ten, out of which they'll pick a winner to sing on her CD. I don't really even care if I win...I just want to get through the experience without crying!

Resolutions!

It's that time of year again, time to make those resolutions. I'm hoping that I keep to some of my goals this year. I always have a lot of good ideas and intentions, but never get around to them. I guess it's silly, but I have a resolution to keep my resolutions. One I'm really going to work on is keeping on top of our Family responsibilities, like prayer, scripture study home evening, and family time. We've done okay so far, but there's still room for improvement. It's been a hard beginning of the year. Two members of our Hilliard ward family were killed the first week of the year. I taught piano lessons to two sweet girls who lost their daddy that week, and I had gotten to know them and the family pretty well. It was a very emotional and awakening week for everyone. You just have to keep in mind that this time on earth is so short. Kris also took me out to eat for my birthday, where I (of course) ate too much food, which kind of was a bad start to my resolution to loose the baby weight. Oh well, we'll get there. Aiden graduated to primary and Hannah to nursury...and thank heaven! Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful beginning to a new year. I was going to post a before and after photo of my weight loss, but I think it would give readers a neverending nightmare, so I'll keep that little diddy to myself! Good luck on your goals everyone!!

Christmas!

Another Christmas come and gone. It was pretty festive day, and I'm glad it's over for another year! We enjoyed watching the kids, they had such a great morning. Emma got a dollhouse, Aiden a train set, Hannah a Little People farm set and baby doll, and Makenna her first baby doll. We get the kids new PJ's every Christmas Eve, and they've come to look forward to that tradition as well. Everything looked all pretty before the kids woke up...then it looked like a tornado had hit our living room.

Hannah loved her baby so much, she didn't care about any other gifts!

Makenna was equally excited about her baby doll.

Blessing Day

We blessed Makenna finally! She looked beautiful in her long white dress, and didn't scream during the blessing, so that was good.

5 Things You May Not Know About Hannah...

1. Hannah LOVES her grandpa and grandma. She'll pick them over Kris or I any day. The first thing she says in the morning is "Papa?" I love that she's attached, because then she'll follow someone else all day instead of me! :)

2. Hannah loves cake, cookies, and especially chocolate raisins. She must be my daughter, because I'm a pastry freak as well. She can say "tookie and take". We have a lot of photos of Hannah enjoying her treats. But she'll eat about everything. She won't have plain milk anymore without chocolate, even if it's just a few drops. Thanks, Grandpa.

3. Hannah loves shoes, purses and barbie dolls. She'll take any opportunity she can to put on your shoes. Her favorite is her sisters princess shoes, or dads "boops" (boots). She loves to have on all the pretty things, but hates for me to help her do it.

4. Hannah's favorite toys are containers with lids she can screw on and off and put things in and out of. She'll carry around an empty pop bottle for hours opening and closing it.

5. Hannah is pretty sassy. If she isn't happy with you, you'll get a pretty dirty look. She's the best at making you feel stupid by the way she looks at you. She can hold her own quite well with the older kids and keeps up. There's no way she's gonna be left behind, or watch out!
